The marine specialist, based in Woodston, has been designing, manufacturing and supplying hydraulics and specialist mechanical mechanisms to the marine industry for more than a decade.
“This is a real boost to our business to have Sunseeker International recognise us as an important supplier to them,” said Elizabeth Noles, sales and marketing manager.
“This shows great support from Sunseeker for UK-based design and manufacturing to complement its exquisite UK-manufactured yachts.”
Sunseeker International’s director of procurement Andrew Macdonald said: “Phoenix Marine Solutions has a good understanding of our demanding requirements for quality and design.
“We are working together on a number of mechanical/hydraulic products for use on our yachts.”
In spite of the economic downturn, Phoenix has increased its business in the marine sector, boosting turnover by about 15 per cent in the last 12 months.
As a result, the company recently improved its facility with the addition of more equipment, allowing it to handle the larger mechanical mechanisms, and has increased staff numbers to cope with the new business.
It has added three engineers to its personnel and is seeking to fill two further vacancies for hydraulics engineers.
Phoenix supplies hydraulics systems for the super yacht industry, predominantly those craft of 24 metres and larger.
It supplies all of the UK’s main boat manufacturers, which also include, in addition to Sunseeker International, Oundle-based Fairline Boats, Princess Yachts, Oyster Yachts and Palmer Johnson.
