Surveyors
This list is diplayed to help boat buyers find a recognised Surveyor from a reputable national professional body.
The entry grade for YDSA members is "Affiliate", with upgrading via the in-house examination for surveyors, to "Accredited"; and eventually to "Full" Member. "Fellow" and "Honorary" Members are elected by the members at an AGM for services to the association. Affiliate members may not advertise their membership.
IBTC Graduate is an additional grade of membership for those who have successfully completed the Practical Yacht Surveying course at the IBTC, Lowestoft, and are now working as marine surveyors, building up their experience. Many have experience from elsewhere in the industry.
